When should I replace my helmet?

Your helmet loses its protective ability as soon as it experiences any impact. The shell becomes weakened by micro-cracks that are invisible to the naked eye and can no longer absorb or dissipate new shocks. You should replace your helmet after every fall from a horse, as well as after minor daily impacts (such as dropping it on the ground or placing it down abruptly).
