# What is the difference between the protective vest and the back protector?

The body protector is made up of several layers of foam that absorb shocks. Thick and more or less rigid, it protects the rider’s chest and back. The body protector is generally intended for cross-country riding and beginners.

The back protection protects only the rider’s back. It is more flexible and lighter than a body protector.
