# How do I properly install my airbag vest?

The saddle attachment strap should be **secured on both sides of your saddle, using the stirrup bars**. This ensures a balanced and symmetrical activation in the event of a fall, whether you come off to the left or the right side of the horse. The lanyard clips onto the saddle strap, which is then connected to the airbag vest.

🚫 **Important:** For your safety, **never attach your airbag directly to the breastplate rings** of your saddle. These rings are not designed to withstand the force of deployment and may break off, causing improper or failed activation of the airbag system.
